Valentino is bringing its A game once more when it comes to making rockstud bags especially with its newest Rockstud Spike Clutch with Chain Bag which looks every bit of a dream edgy bag!

Beautifully and elegantly crafted from crinkle-textured leather, the latest and newest silhouette in Valentino’s Rockstud Spike collection would be this versatile shoulder bag which transitions into a clutch design or vice versa whichever way you want it!

To perfectly complement its luxury tough look, the dark hardware did a great job! We love the quilted matelasse used in this bag that is later on filled with rockstud spike all over for that nice urban feel. A bag fit for the modern royal rebel, this bag proves to be more than just meets the eye with its functionality features.

It has a turn-lock fastening for security purposes and has a detachable chain shoulder strap so you can effortlessly transition it from being a hand bag/ clutch to a shoulder or cross-body bag.

Looking inside, it has 10 card slots, bill slot, and a zipped coin pocket to keep your things organized! It measures 5.5” x 9” x 1.5” (H x W x D) inches and is priced around $1495 USD, €1150 euro, $10900 HKD, ¥170000 JPY

Runway Favorite: Valentino My Rockstud Hand-Painted Tribal Satchel Bag

Valentino My Rockstud Painted Satchel

The Valentino Rockstud bag styles have always been popular. The normally reserved designer uses studs to add some edge to a few of their handbags. The studded detailing really does pop against the structured shapes, clean lines, and basic colors. However for the newest Spring 2016 season, Valentino is thinking out of the box and taking things up a notch. Discover the new Valentino My Rockstud Painted Satchel!

If you look closely, you will see that the design on the front of this bag is actually painted onto the leather. This is very unusual for Valentino. What is really unique is how the pattern has an tribal-like vibe to it, which I find to be rather intriguing. It has an energizing effect. I also like the extra “studs,” which are actually polished stones. The description doesn’t say what they are, but I love the colors. Especially the green stones! Beautiful! I don’t know what it is, but this bag (as a whole) is appealing to me. I think it would bring some color and flare to an otherwise simple outfit.

Valentino Mini Lock Rockstud Bead Embellished Bag

Valentino Mini Bead Embellished Bag

There are some bold color combinations out there, but nothing seems as bold as red and black. Whether it is a print or blocks of color, red and black can make a huge statement. For some, this color combination can be a bit overpowering. This is especially true if we’re talking about clothing. On the other hand, if we’re talking about a handbag, I think it is totally doable. That is why I jumped at the chance to take a closer look at the lovely piece you see here, the Valentino Mini Lock Rockstud Bag.

This latest rendition of the classic Valentino Mini Lock Rockstud features everything I would normally expect from this style. It has a flap closure with the signature push lock clasp and it has the signature rockstud embellishment running down the middle of the flap. The gold tone hardware and chain strap look gorgeous against the red and black background. But what I really love is the unique beading seen throughout. The leather body features slits where blocks of seed beads are attached giving this bag an interwoven look throughout. What I also love about this bag is that it is sort of dressy and sort of casual at the same time. It even has this gothic-like element to it.

Back to the late sixties and the early seventies is where we’re going with Valentino. Handbags with a touch of vintage – beautiful colored in blocks of yellow, black and white, embedded into totes and clutches. It’s an entire new ‘feel’, made with comfortable handles and closure with pearl-like embellishment.

Valentino is one of the few designer brands that we never know what to expect and then overwhelm us with their vision, creation and artistic.

A typical 70’s duffle handbag in black and white. Made with leather handles and buckle options on the ending to adjust the length to your comfort. The bag opens with two zippers, it comes with two exterior pockets on the front and the zippers are connected with a leather strap. A duffle bag with large compartment, for the busy woman or use it as a weekend bag to travel from city to city.

For those that love everything-simple, Valentino also made a boxy shoulder bag in plain white, finished with a chain strap to carry on your shoulder. It’s chic item with golden finishing, really lovely for the winter seasons.

Valentino Fall 2016 RTW Collection Brings Together Ballerinas, the Skies and the Seas

Fashion

Honestly, looking at the extremely large Valentino fall/winter 2016-2017 RTW collection, the pieces remind us of the night skies and the oceans all at once, with ethereal creations that seem to belong in both regions of the world, but almost in another dimension. It is like seeing mermaids jump into space at times and the concept of that is certainly fun to play with. It also seems to pay elegant homage to ballerinas as a whole, which has us imagining mermaids in tutus and with wings to soar through the skies.

Valentino Fall/ Winter 2016-2017 RTW - Paris Fashion Week

Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli certainly outdid themselves with the 81-outfit-long runway show, featuring quite a bit of tulle, glitter, tiers and waves, appearances of the pieces in ballet pink, while the whisper thin dresses showed off some very pretty silhouettes. It was all about the pale and the pretty here, while there were a few looks that contrasted rather sharply with the designs as a whole. That included some punkish outerwear and combat boots that add some spice to the feminine beauty seen otherwise. After all, it is International Women’s Day and what better way to celebrate it than by showing both facets to a woman’s demeanor?

The Valentino fall 2016 show took place at the Espace Ephémère Des Tuileries in Paris, left mostly bare for the fashion show, with two runway paths opened up and a piano at the center performing live during the show. It was simply divine! While the collection is more of a fairy tale than reality it seems, the opening ensemble was very much based on military inspirations from this world, including a button-down trench coat worn over a sweater, a shirt and a full skirt, finished off with some sturdy boots. It literally opened with a tone quite the opposite to that which it finished with.

If tutus are your favorite ballerina look though, you will enjoy the remastering of the designs into short poof skirts, complete with elongated bustier mini dresses. We should also add the little tidbit added to the website, according to which the collection was all about emotion and “a reply to chaos and to the uncertainty of present times” with the designer duo ditching virtuality and experiencing with contemporary fashion.

Layers were an interesting thing throughout the line-up, appearing as sweaters over shirts or dresses over turtlenecks that hug the body close. We even had ladies in black skinny pants and high-neck sweaters donning on long midi dresses with crystal studded spaghetti straps and a sheer appeal showing off the black of the layers worn underneath. The dresses also appeared in marigold velvets, which looked stunning to say the least. The material has been a designer favorite for the F/W ready to wear collections of 2016 and we are not one to complain about that. Velvet looks amazing, no matter how it is being worn. Add in dusty taupes and olive hues as well and you have a Valentino collection we shall not be forgetting for a while.

As for the beauty looks, tight chignons and bright glows are all you need to look fantastic this fall, with the clothing itself doing the speaking for you. Blush and nude gowns certainly can say much, while translucent glittering pieces are meant to be worn by some very fashionable angels we dare say.
